Patrick Cummings - Writer / Director

Patrick Cummings is an Emmy-nominated director and writer from New York. He is known for his compelling visual storytelling style, specializing in cinematic comedy. 

Patrick has directed commercials, promos and content for MTV, History Channel, A&E, Comedy Central, VICE, IFC and some of the world’s biggest brands. He has worked with numerous A-List talent including Morgan Freeman, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Miley Cyrus, William Shatner, Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry and Kid Cudi, to name a few.

Patrick began his career as a writer-director for MTV’s On-Air Promos Department. There, he honed his craft while directing some of the world’s biggest pop stars and tackling social issues. 

In 2021, Patrick was selected as a protégé in the DGA's Episodic TV Directing Mentorship and Craft Workshop. He graduates from the program in June 2022 with the goal of expanding his directorial career into episodic television.
